Pooh To Tigger Challenge – My weight loss plan

As I prepare for my personal weight loss plan to begin on Dec 1st, I thought I’d share my thoughts on how I’m attacking this Pooh belly.

I was successful a couple years ago losing about 25 lbs. I’ve since put back on 20 lbs.

First, it’s all a mind game and I have to be in the right frame of mind to lose weight.  There’s no secret formula. We all know what it takes to lose weight. You have to eat less and exercise more. Period.

I’ll follow a basic plan I did before which includes the following:

  • Eat slower
  • Don’t over eat at any one meal. We tend to eat too fast and too much.
  • Don’t eat when I’m not hungry
  • Limit sugar
  • Drink lots of water
  • Stay away from juice and soda
  • Veggies and protein are good

During the 8 week challenge, my goal is to lose 10 lbs.  I’m not going to stop at that but this should be a great start.  10 lbs will decrease my waist and I’ll feel lighter.  My pants will fit better.

My weight has been a yo-yo since we came back from Disney World in Sept.  Time to take control!
