This is in regards to the Top 49 Podcasts of 2018.
There appears to be some confusion among some of the nominated podcasters about the two actions that can be taken to influence the rank this year.
The first action that you can take is asking for ratings and reviews in iTunes which is the most popular podcasting platform. Due to conversations that we have had with podcasters, next year we will research ways to improve this because other platforms may be more popular for specific audiences. However, this year, we are remaining with only iTunes. After the beginning of the year, we will send out surveys to help us improve this list.
The second action that can be taken, to improve your standing, is to ask your audience to visit Facebook.com/DisneyInspires, finding the attached picture, and voting for your podcast. Your audience doesn’t need to like our page to vote. We hope that they do but it is not a requirement. The reason why we want votes on our page is so that we do not have to hunt them down on everyone else’s page. Why should you do this? Because it can significantly change the results. It is possible for a podcast with 100 loyal and active listeners to compete with a podcast that has thousands of listeners who are passive.
